yp4y - Youth Praying 4 Youth
Mission:
To encourage prayer and discipleship among the youth of Central Oregon through organized large and small group gatherings.
Large group gatherings:
- Fellowship, worship and prayer
- Open to all youth across the body of Christ
- Corporate prayer for youth issues/events in Central Oregon
(e.g. Christian Youth Summit as it approaches)
- Break into groups for prayer/encouragement
- Parents welcome to participate
Optional small group gatherings for those interested in discipleship, encouragement, accountability, prayer (DEAP):
- Same gender small groups of 2-5
- Each group has a teen leader
- Meet/talk regularly (usually 1/week)
- Prayer is central
- Partner up within same church/youth group/age group if possible
- Regular updates to youth pastors of church youth group
- Time in the Word
- Transparency & confidentiality
- Grow & multiply
All group leaders go through a training session on facilitating a successful group. In addition, each person leading a group will be assigned an adult oversight person to talk with regularly.
Leadership Team meets 1 or 2 times per month with adult oversight committee.
